What does that mean? No such word is in our vocabulary. Just kidding, we know this word, but Bloodhounds choose to ignore it. Often, I am ordered to: sit, stay, speak, heel, etc...but, why should I sit and stay when I have too much fun doing other things? Don't they get it? They just think I'm dumb and don't understand, but actually, I'm pretty smart, because not only do I understand the commands, but I decide not to respond to them. And if I do respond, it's only because I feel like it.
Bloodhounds can also be quite stubborn, so when it comes to obedience training...good luck! Now, I'm not saying that it is not possible to train a Bloodhound...it's just more challenging than training another breed. In fact, I've heard someone say that putting a Bloodhound in obedience class with other dogs, such as German Shepherds or Doberman Pinschers, would make a Bloodhound look mentally retarded. Personally, I think that is rude, but people can think what they want.
