THE BLOODHOUND AND BREEDING
Personally, I
do not know much about breeding. I was spayed when I was about a year old.
I won't ever know what it's like to have babies, which is okay with me, because
I live with a bunch of them already. Corey, 12...Eric, 8...Cassie 1.
They are lots of fun and that's good enough for me. But, I remember where
I was born and lived the first 9 weeks of my life. I lived at Boxford
Kennels and they bred Bloodhounds. It's a lot of work raising little
Bloodhounds. They require special attention. But, before the little
pups are even "a thought", special attention has to be given to the pups
parents. Bloodhound parents will have to be carefully chosen if the breeder desires
a particular result of the pups. For example, if a breeder desires a Red
Bloodhound, then one or both of the parents should be the color of red. The size
of the parents will play a role in the size of the pups. It's the same
when human parents have babies. Their kids resemble them, as we do our
parents. Get it? I also know that breeding Bloodhounds requires a lot of space...Not to mention how many DOG BONES and how much food
all those Bloodhounds will need to have. I do not want to speculate any further on
breeding...because I do not know any more than that. Please research this topic
carefully if this is something you are considering!
