My New Family On February 29, 2000, I was put on a USAir Flight to Pennsylvania where my new mom, dad, and 2 brothers were waiting to bring me to my new home. I was pretty shaken-up about the whole thing. But by the next morning, I was settling in and feeling a little more at home. My brothers are Corey and Eric. And on 11/28/01, a little girl, named Cassie arrived. She sure was tiny. They are all humans. I also lived with 2 dogs, one was a German Shepherd mix named Pelzer; the other is a Pekinese named Blakjak. It was great to have them around--but on January 28, 2002, just 27 days after Pelzer's 11th birthday, she left the house with mom and papa and never came back. I spent days looking for her and I was very sad. Her food dish was taken away and put up on top of the kitchen cabinet. Mom cried a lot and I didn't know how to make her happy. Finally, she told me that Pelzer was now in Doggie Heaven. I didn't understand it all, but I know Pelzer is not here and I sure do miss her. I have a big backyard that I enjoy. I like to chase rabbits and deer. I don't get very far, because I am not allowed to roam free. My nose will take me to places that could get me hurt or killed.
