On December 26, 2001, the vet told us that Pelzer had lymphoma, cancer of the lymph nodes. They gave her 2 weeks to live. We were blessed because we had her for an additional one month and 2 days. When the cancer became intolerable, she was peacefully put to sleep. The loss of Pelzer has been painful to say the very least. The hurt will linger on and she will never be forgotten. But, tonight and every night, there will be a very special angel watching over us...She lived her life as an angel on earth, always looking out for us...without a doubt, the Lord has planned for her to be a valuable K-9 ANGEL! I will pray that the Lord send her to watch over you. So, if you hear a bark in the wind...in the time of need, she's there looking out for you. God Bless!

You have been a true blessing in our life. You are one of God's most beautiful and precious gifts. I know by now you have your wings. Your job here is done. Your job was to bring great love and joy to every soul that knew you and you knew; you went above and beyond your call of duty. Thank you for your love, loyalty and protection. Our lives will never be the same because you were and always will be a part of this family...and now, because we lost you. You will never be forgotten. We miss you so much; there are not enough words in this world that could ever express just how much it hurts that you are gone...and there are no words at all to describe just how much we love you...but...we love you more than you could imagine. We know, though, that now you are free to run and bark and play...
